The Maithan Alloys vision statement includes sustainability as one of the foundations to become a premiere alloy company. We believe in achieving this vision by building, nurturing and caring for the communities that we function in.

Our connection with sustainability goes way back into the history of our organization. Being a homebuilt company, CSR and related activities have always been a part of our history- way before we became Maithan Alloys. Since then, sustainability has always been a core focus area in our corporate DNA.

Taking out a slice from our history, our present and our future, we believe that building sustainable communities for us begins with Education followed by Health and Safety. As stepping stones to larger and more widespread programs, we have initiated some of the below programs in our key focus areas of Education, Health & Safety.


School and College Trusts at West Bardhaman:

The promoter family of Maithan Alloys are the founder trustee of Barakar Shree Marwari Vidyalaya, setup in 1932. The institution is being managed by a trust comprising of representatives from the founders, State Government and other social dignitaries. The school currently educates close to 1000 students in the CBSE curriculum.

Maithan Alloys has also been an active trustee at the ITI College Rupnarayanpur since 2010. The West Bengal college specializes in ITI & vocational courses. The graduating students strength has gone up 4 times within the first four years Guru Gangeshwar Bhooramal Nihshulk Chikitsa Seva Sansthan, Vrindavan

Guru Gangeshwar Booramal Nishulk Chikitsa Seva Sansthan, Vrindavan was started in the year 1994, in the name of (Late) Shri Bhooramal Agarwalla, the grandfather of the Maithan Alloys CMD. The company still continues to be one of the trustees on this clinic by taking forward the legacy of its forefathers.



Periodic Health Camps

Maithan Alloys also conducts regular health check-ups for employees and nearby villages. The camp is conducted by a Maithan Alloys -employed doctor and paramedical professionals. All participants in the camp are provided with check-up, medicines and advised to see a specialist in case if any condition requires further medical attention.
